Bristol City are reportedly likely to listen to offers for ex-Aberdeen<\/a> ace Ross McCrorie<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n

The English Championship side have just triggered an extension on the Scotland international’s<\/a> deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2027.<\/p>\n

McCrorie\u2019s camp wanted discussions over a longer term deal, and the club eventually opened negotiations, but those dragged on because of changes in the hierarchy at Ashton Gate.<\/p>\n

Talks were eventually resumed and various proposals tabled, but an agreement has not been reached. It is now doubtful whether a resolution can still be found, writes Record Sport<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If that remains the case then the Robins will likely look to cash in at the end of the season rather than run the risk of losing him on a free transfer 12 months later.<\/p>\n

McCrorie is unlikely to be short of suitors if City were to sell. He has previously been on the radar of Crystal Palace and Leicester City, and has been a standout for City since he made the move from Aberdeen in 2023.<\/p>\n

The Dons will be watching on with interest, having inserted a 20 per cent sell-on clause when they sold him to Bristol City, with the defender\u2019s impressive form seeing him recalled by Steve Clarke for Scotland’s friendlies against Japan and Ivory Coast.<\/p>\n

McCrorie is the only one of Scotland\u2019s current right-backs who has been playing regularly. Nathan Patterson isn\u2019t a regular at Everton and Anthony Ralston has found starting time an issue at Celtic.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen if that is enough to give him the nod for these pre-World Cup qualifiers.
