Alison Hammond<\/a> has given an update on her weight loss<\/a> journey after deciding to take action for health reasons.<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old This Morning<\/a> presenter – who weighed 28-stone at her heaviest – has so far lost an impressive 11 stone.<\/p>\n

Hammond\u2019s mother Maria had raised concerns when the TV star was diagnosed pre-diabetic and she chose to address the issue following her parent\u2019s passing in 2020 from lung and liver cancer.<\/p>\n

While the current celebrity trend is to turn to weight loss injections, the Great British Bake Off<\/a> presenter felt that wasn\u2019t for her and opted to shed the pounds the old fashioned way through diet and exercise.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Heat<\/a>, she said: \u201cI’ve got a personal trainer – she’s amazing, she trains me when I can train.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I’m working, I don’t train, I’ll go for a walk. But when I’m at home, I’ll go and have a session with her in the morning, just an hour. It might be four days a week.\u201d<\/p>\n

And when it comes to food, she says she hasn’t cut anything out completely and instead focuses on \u201cmoderation\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don’t deny myself anything, I eat everything, but in moderation,\u201d she added to the publication.<\/p>\n

Of her decision not to go down the weight loss jab route, the mum-of-one previously told Good Housekeeping UK<\/a>: \u201cI think that, for people who need to use them, they’re a good thing – but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I haven’t wanted to use them, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t in the future, and I certainly wouldn’t look down on anyone who did.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mum had type 2 diabetes and she was worried for me, so when I then found out that I was pre-diabetic, that was frightening.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought: \u2018I have to be an adult about this\u2019. The sweets had to stop \u2013 and the fatty foods.\u201d<\/p>\n

Things are looking positive elsewhere in her life too.<\/p>\n

Hammond is currently loved-up boyfriend David Puttman, 27.<\/p>\n
