Foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) along with the High Representative of the European Union (EU) yesterday announced they are ready to take necessary measures to support global energy supplies, reaffirming the importance of safeguarding maritime routes, including the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n
G7 comprises Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.<\/p>\n
G7 foreign ministers along with the EU High Representative yesterday announced they are ready to take necessary measures to support global energy supplies, reaffirming the importance of \u2060safeguarding maritime routes, including the Strait of Hormuz.
\n\u201cWe call for the immediate and unconditional cessation of all attacks by the Iranian regime,\u201d they said in a statement. <\/p>\n
“We … express support to our partners in the region in the face of the unjustifiable attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran \u200cand its proxies,” they said in a statement.<\/p>\n
“We condemn in the strongest terms the regime\u2019s reckless attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure, including energy infrastructure,” they said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Iranian regime\u2019s unjustifiable attacks against these states also threaten regional and global security. We call for the immediate and unconditional cessation of all attacks by the Iranian regime,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n
