Tyson Fury has revealed why his children have \u201cno choice\u201d but to follow in their father\u2019s footsteps and become professional boxers, in an exclusive interview with SPORTbible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ahead of his return to boxing against Russia\u2019s Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 11 April, the two-time world heavyweight champion has been training alongside his eldest son, 14-year-old Prince.<\/p>\n

Tyson<\/a> has seven children with his wife, Paris, whom he married in November 2008.<\/p>\n

The oldest of the seven, Venezuela<\/a>, recently got engaged to her now fianc\u00e9, Noah Price, at her 16th birthday party in 2025.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, 14-year-old Prince appears to be focusing on his career, based on training footage posted to his father\u2019s Instagram account in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Several videos have emerged of Prince undertaking boxing training alongside his father and elite-level heavyweight Joseph Parker.<\/p>\n

Of course, most fathers are against their sons going into such a dangerous sport, but this is not the case with the Furys, with Tyson telling SPORTbible that his children have \u201cno choice\u201d but to take up boxing.<\/p>\n

When asked whether Prince would become a professional boxer, Tyson replied: \u201cHe\u2019ll have to go into boxing professionally \u2014 there\u2019s no other choice for him. He doesn\u2019t know anything else; he only knows how to fight. That\u2019s it. He\u2019s training to be a boxer \u2014 an amateur boxer, then a professional boxer \u2014 and he\u2019ll do the best he can.\u201d<\/p>\n

But what are Paris\u2019 thoughts on her children lacing up the gloves?<\/p>\n

\u201cParis is cool [with it],\u201d Tyson explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have four sons, and they\u2019ll all box \u2014 every single one of them. Why not? Boxing\u2019s a beautiful sport, and a lot of the people who don’t want their kids to go down that route are people who did boxing probably for the wrong reasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon’t forget, I chose boxing as my life. I didn’t do it because I had nothing else I could do in my life \u2014 I chose it because it was my passion. If you’re coming from that position, then the kids are going into it thinking differently.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you’re doing it because you’re on the streets and it’s the only way to put food in your mouth or whatever, you’ve got to do all these crazy things, like the stories of the American fighters from the past.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old then said that if he could choose any career path in the world, including becoming a lawyer or surgeon, he\u2019d still choose to compete as a professional boxer, as his \u201cfamily chose fighting\u201d above all else.<\/p>\n

So, if one of Tyson\u2019s children wanted to pursue a career other than fighting, what would the \u2018Gypsy King\u2019 make of that?<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t be bothered,\u201d Fury explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone has got to make their own decisions. You can want what you want for your kids, but at the end of the day, everyone is an individual and they\u2019re going to do what they\u2019re going to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach person in this life can only be accountable for his or her own behaviour. I can’t be accountable for what my brother does, or my son, or anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fury comes from a strong line of fighting men, with his father John, brother Tommy and several cousins trying their hand at professional boxing.<\/p>\n
