What controversy?<\/a><\/p>\n

No. 1-ranked<\/a> Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight Movsar Evloev<\/strong> scored a polarizing majority decision over Lerone Murphy<\/strong> in the main event of UFC London<\/a> yesterday (Sat., May 21, 2026) inside the O2 Arena in London, England.<\/p>\n

It was razor close.<\/p>\n

Many observers felt Murphy took the first two rounds, while Evloev rallied to win the final two. In round three, Evloev was docked a point for a low blow \u2014 but still appeared to win the frame, leading a large portion of fans and media to score the fight 47-47.<\/p>\n

In other words: a draw.<\/p>\n

For what it\u2019s worth, 12 media outlets scored the fight even<\/a>, according to MMADecisions.com.<\/p>\n

Still, Evloev walked away with the win \u2014 and plenty of debate followed.<\/p>\n

Just not from UFC CEO Dana White<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat was the controversy?\u201d White said during the UFC London post-fight press conference<\/a>. \u201cWell, I think one of the judges probably had it a draw \u2014 but yeah, I don\u2019t think there was any controversy.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s certainly one way to look at it.<\/p>\n

According to reports, White left his cageside seat earlier in the night<\/a> during the boring featured bout<\/a> between Michael Page<\/strong> and Sam Patterson<\/strong> and did not return \u2014 raising questions about whether he even watched the main event live.<\/p>\n

Of course, it\u2019s possible he caught the fight elsewhere backstage \u2014 but his lack of a strong opinion didn\u2019t exactly clear things up.<\/p>\n

Controversy aside, White did acknowledge that Evloev is firmly in the title picture following the win.<\/p>\n

\u201cPossibly, yeah,\u201d White said when asked if Evloev was next in line to face Alexander Volkanovski<\/strong>. \u201cI\u2019m not even thinking about that. The fight just ended. But yeah, he\u2019s obviously in a good position.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whether fans agree with the decision or not, Evloev remains undefeated \u2014 and now sits closer than ever to his first shot at UFC gold.<\/p>\n
