Three girls have been charged after a teenager was stabbed in a Midland park.<\/p>\n

A 14-year-old girl was seriously hurt when she was stabbed at a park <\/a>off Heron End in Whittington, Worcester, at around 7.40pm on September 21 last year.<\/p>\n

She was rushed to hospital at the time with ‘serious’ injuries that were ‘not believed to be life-threatening’.<\/p>\n

Three girls, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to their ages, have now been charged by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) over the incident.<\/p>\n

A 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl were charged with being in possession of a knife\/sharp pointed article in a public place.<\/p>\n

They were also charged with wounding with intent.<\/p>\n

A court date is yet to be set.<\/p>\n

The CPS also charged a third girl, aged 13, with assault.<\/p>\n

She is due to appear at Worcester Youth Court on Wednesday, April 8.<\/p>\n

A West Mercia Police <\/a>spokesperson said: “Three girls have been charged following a teenager being stabbed in Whittington in Worcester on Sunday, September 21, last year.<\/p>\n

“The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised charges for a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl for being in possession of a knife\/sharp pointed article in a public place and wounding with intent.<\/p>\n

“A court date is yet to be set.<\/p>\n

“A 13-year-old girl has been charged with assault.<\/p>\n
