David de Gea shared a message for Leeds United<\/a> loanee Jack Harrison on social media following Fiorentina\u2019s 1-1 draw with Inter Milan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Serie A strugglers Fiorentina earned a surprise point against the league leaders on Sunday as Cher Ndour cancelled out Pio Esposito\u2019s first-minute opener.<\/p>\n

Fiorentina remain in trouble at the wrong end of the Italian top flight, but their fortunes have at least improved as they have climbed two points from safety.<\/p>\n

Harrison joined La Viola in the winter transfer window and has endured a rather underwhelming time of things so far to say the least.<\/p>\n

While Harrison\u2019s future at Leeds remains unclear<\/a>, he has certainly won over goalkeeper De Gea at Stadio Artemio Franchi.<\/p>\n

David de Gea hails \u2018brother\u2019 Jack Harrison<\/p>\n

De Gea has been a Fiorentina player since August 2024, having joined as a free agent after leaving Manchester United.<\/p>\n

Harrison shared the image on his own story and added the caption: \u201cAmazing guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harrison played the final 20 minutes of the draw against Inter, having been used mainly from the substitutes\u2019 bench in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

What have Italian press made of Harrison at Fiorentina?<\/p>\n

Harrison landed a move to Fiorentina a couple of months ago in what was supposed to be a loan switch that revived his career.<\/p>\n

That has not quite been the case, however, as he has zero goals and just one assist in eight Serie A appearances.<\/p>\n

He is now used mainly as a back-up player in the league, coming on as a substitute in the second half of matches.<\/p>\n

The Italian press recently slammed Harrison at Fiorentina<\/a> following their defeat to Parma earlier this month.<\/p>\n

It seems almost certain from the outside looking in that Fiorentina will not consider purchasing Harrison permanently in the summer.<\/p>\n
