A video posted on Telegram, allegedly by an Islamist group called Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia, showed a map of the location where the ambulances were kept and footage of them on fire.<\/p>\n

The London Fire Brigade said multiple cylinders on the vehicles exploded, shattering nearby windows. No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made.<\/p>\n
A group of the same name, which translates as the Islamic Movement of the Companions of the Right, previously claimed responsibility for synagogue attacks in Belgium and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n
British police said the attack was not being treated as a terrorist incident, but counterterrorism officers would lead the investigation.<\/p>\n
“While this has not been declared a terrorist incident at this stage, the investigation is now being led by counterterrorism policing, with all the specialist expertise they bring, and all lines of inquiry remain open,” Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams said.<\/p>\n

He added that while they were aware of an online claim from a group taking responsibility for the attack, they needed to establish its authenticity and said: “It is not something we can confirm at this point.”<\/p>\n
British politicians and the domestic spy agency MI5 have warned of threats posed by Iran, including the surveillance or targeting of Jewish sites.<\/p>\n
Tehran has denied such accusations.<\/p>\n

Israeli embassy condemns attack and inaction<\/p>\n
Officers were called to Golders Green after receiving reports of a fire, the Metropolitan Police force said.<\/p>\n
Four ambulances belonging to Hatzola Northwest, a volunteer organisation that provides emergency medical response, were damaged, according to the London Fire Brigade.<\/p>\n
Oxygen cylinders on the vehicles exploded, breaking windows in an adjacent apartment block. Nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution.<\/p>\n

What appeared to be footage from a security camera showed three figures in black wearing hoods carrying a canister toward one of the ambulances before flames erupted around the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Police say they are looking for three suspects, but no arrests have been made yet.<\/p>\n
The Israeli embassy in London, which has long criticised Britain for failing to do more to tackle antisemitism, said the firebombings followed years of “hate-filled marches” in support of Palestinians, along with incitement and intimidation.<\/p>\n
“Enough is enough,” it said on X, calling for “decisive action to put an end to this climate of intimidation before it spirals further. Silence and inaction are no longer an option.”<\/p>\n
