Battlefield Hardline<\/a>, the police-themed series spin-off, will be delisted from the PS Store<\/strong><\/a> on 22nd May, with its servers scheduled to be taken offline a month later.<\/p>\n

Writing on its official X<\/a> (or Twitter<\/a>) communications account, an EA spokesperson announced the news with the following statement:<\/p>\n

\u201cOn Friday, May 22nd, Battlefield Hardline on Xbox One and PS4 will be removed from digital storefronts, and you will no longer be able to purchase it and all extra related content, such as DLC.<\/p>\n

Online services on these platforms will end on Monday, June 22nd. While Hardline will no longer support online functionality on Xbox One and PS4, players who own the game will still be able to play the single-player component.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

<\/blockquote>\n

As noted, those of you who already have the game in your library will be able to play the game\u2019s single player campaign, even after its servers have been taken offline.<\/p>\n

It should be added that this game\u2019s PS3 servers were already shutdown in 2024.<\/p>\n

Originally released over a decade ago, in 2015, we thought Battlefield Hardline was an adequate experiment in our 7\/10 review<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are people that say that Battlefield Hardline is just a DLC pack disguised as a new release, but that’s not quite true. It feels familiar in terms of gameplay, but fresh enough in theme and heavy enough in content that it’s worth its own release. It’s a decent game that gets points for originality of concept, but how much value it has is down to how much you enjoyed previous entries in the franchise, and how much you’d like to see the Cop FPS genre become a thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
