The Germany international has now admitted he is open to joining a new club this summer, as Manchester City attempt to beat Bayern Munich and Real Madrid to his signature.<\/p>\n

Wirtz told Sports Illustrated: \u201cI\u2019m lucky to have so many excellent clubs right on my doorstep and to now be able to play for one of the best clubs in Germany and Europe.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s definitely tempting for me to leave my comfort zone at some point and experience something new. I know the football dressing rooms well enough and am convinced that I would quickly find my place anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

Manchester City have already met with Bayer Leverkusen<\/a> to discuss a \u00a3100m deal for Wirtz \u2013 the German side actually travelled to the Etihad Campus, as they are keen to sign James McAtee and Stefan Ortega this summer.<\/p>\n
