Production images have been released of stage and screen star Richard Kind<\/strong> (Only Murders in the Building, Spin City), who has officially begun his limited guest run in the West End revival of The Producers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Richard Kind<\/a><\/strong> has taken over the iconic role of Max Bialystock at the Garrick Theatre<\/strong> until 9 May 2026<\/strong>. He steps into the production while the show\u2019s original Max, Andy Nyman<\/strong> (Ghost Stories), briefly departs to open his new play, The Psychic, at York Theatre Royal. Nyman is scheduled to return to the London production from 11 May.<\/p>\n

The production also stars Marc Antolin<\/a><\/strong> (The Band\u2019s Visit) as Leo Bloom, Joanna Woodward<\/a><\/strong> (The Time Traveller\u2019s Wife) as Ulla, Trevor Ashley<\/a><\/strong> (Les Mis\u00e9rables) as Roger de Bris, Harry Morrison<\/strong> (Beetlejuice) as Franz Liebkind, and Raj Ghatak<\/strong> (The Father and the Assassin) as Carmen Ghia.<\/p>\n

Based on the much-loved Mel Brooks<\/strong> film, this new production of The Producers is directed by Tony Award-winner Patrick Marber<\/strong> (Leopoldstadt).<\/p>\n

Since opening, it has become one of the most critically acclaimed shows in London, earning rare five-star reviews from The Times, Evening Standard, and WhatsOnStage.<\/p>\n

The musical follows the hilarious misadventures of a failing Broadway producer and his accountant as they attempt to stage the ultimate flop \u2013 only for the show to become an accidental smash hit!<\/p>\n
