Finding the right resources can make all the difference, especially for older adults and the families who support them. On March 25, the City of Manassas CERT Community Emergency Response Team is hosting a Community Resource Fair designed to connect residents with programs and services that support healthy, active, and connected living.<\/p>\n
The Community Resource Fair, themed \u201cTurning Data into Action,\u201d will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pat White Center at Ben Lomond, 10501 Copeland Drive, Manassas. The event is open to the public and focuses on meeting the needs of older adults across Prince William County and the City of Manassas.<\/p>\n
Community members will have the opportunity to visit with a wide range of local partners offering information and demonstrations on topics that matter to everyday life. Planned resources include nutritious low-cost meal options, healthy snack ideas, and ways to stay socially and physically active through senior center programs and community organizations.<\/p>\n
Participating partners represent county agencies, health and wellness providers, and nonprofit organizations, including Prince William County Social Services, the Area Agency on Aging, Prince William Public Libraries, NAMI Prince William, UVA Health, AARP Prince William, OmniRide, ACTS, Legal Services of Northern Virginia, and several others focused on wellness, transportation, food access, and community connection.<\/p>\n
