An established royal photographer has shared the reality of working with Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/a> behind-the-scenes. Chris Jackson, Getty Images\u2019 official royal photographer, spoke about the couple at a party promoting his new book in New York<\/a>, ‘Modern Majesty: The British Royal Family in a New Era’.<\/p>\n

He candidly said: “I\u2019ve always had a great experience photographing them both.” The photographer added he “enjoyed the trips” that he went on with the couple, which included the Invictus Games and Harry’s trips to Lesotho and Bali and divulged that the pair have a “great dynamic”.<\/p>\n

He added: “There are all these different characters in the Royal Family<\/a>. So I\u2019ve always enjoyed photographing them.”<\/p>\n

The front cover of Jackson’s new book features a close-up image of King Charles and Queen Camilla on the day of their coronation on May 6, 2023, from behind the couple, on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, which is a rare shot to see<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jackson told Page Six<\/a>: “I think that\u2019s kind of the vibe of the book, the feeling of the book\u2026things that have changed. King Charles is doing things a little bit differently.”<\/p>\n

The photographer explained how Prince William<\/a> and Princess Catherine have started to approach the public differently, by “taking selfies”, which hasn’t been done before.<\/p>\n

Speaking about his job, he said: “They do very much just crack on with the job, and it\u2019s my job to kind of document and tell the story of whatever they\u2019re doing on the day.”<\/p>\n

He continued, “Generally, I think if there is good coverage of something they are trying to make a difference in, they are probably positive about that. But I don\u2019t think it\u2019s really a vanity thing in terms of how they look in the pictures and that kind of side of it.”<\/p>\n
