{"id":854301,"date":"2026-03-27T17:38:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T17:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/854301\/"},"modified":"2026-03-27T17:38:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T17:38:15","slug":"village-drugs-laboratory-busted-near-bristol-as-suspects-named","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/854301\/","title":{"rendered":"Village &#8216;drugs laboratory&#8217; busted near Bristol as suspects named"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A &#8220;large industrial unit&#8221; is still being searched<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Generic police office file image\" loading=\"eager\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/0_PAS_STO_150324asbo_005.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p aria-label=\"Generic police office file image\" class=\"ImageCaption_caption-title__ccyQU\" data-testid=\"caption-title\">Generic police office file image(Image: Pete Stonier \/ Stoke Sentinel)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Police have discovered a suspected drugs laboratory in a village near Bristol.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Class A and class B drugs, including cocaine and mephedrone were allegedly being made at the lab near Bitton in South Gloucestershire, with a list of suspects due in court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU) led the bust and said six people were arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday, March 26) following their investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The following six people were charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and conspiracy to produce a controlled drug of class B:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"UnorderedList_unordered-list__gzblI\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"unordered-list\">\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">Aaron Stevenson, 30, from St Mary\u2019s-with-Summercombe, Brixham<\/li>\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">Callum Thorpe, 23, from Leigh, Greater Manchester<\/li>\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">Samual Oram, 39, from Cathays, Cardiff<\/li>\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">Abdul Laftah, 48, from Leek, Staffordshire<\/li>\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">Ian Boyle, 32, from Royston, Hertfordshire<\/li>\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">Simon Khan, 46, from Warmley, South Gloucestershire<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Bristol Magistrates&#8217; Court on Saturday, March 28.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Police are continuing to search a large industrial unit in <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/bath-and-north-east-somerset\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Bath<\/a> Road.
