Mohamed Salah is attracting interest from a number of MLS clubs ahead of his imminent departure from Liverpool<\/a>, sources have told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They are now prepared to rival Saudi Pro League clubs for the Egypt international\u2019s signature, although the Middle East remains his most likely destination as things stand.<\/p>\n

Having proven they can attract superstar talent, including the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and more recently Antoine Griezmann, Salah is now next on their list.<\/p>\n

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider\u2019s Transfer Insider podcast<\/a><\/strong>, his wages may provide the only obstacle to the US clubs\u2019 ambitions.<\/p>\n

Salah is expected to demand a significant wage packet at his next club after leaving Anfield on a free, while Liverpool will assess their options in the market<\/a>.<\/p>\n

MLS clubs backed to sign Mohamed Salah from Liverpool<\/p>\n

Football Insider<\/strong> revealed on 29 March that Real Madrid and PSG are keen on Salah<\/a>, and would be able to afford his wages, but there are doubts about whether they will move.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast<\/strong>, I explained: \u201cAt the minute, you would say a move to the Saudi Pro League is the most likely scenario for Mohamed Salah.<\/p>\n

\u201cA move to the MLS could be an option for him as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cWages might be an issue but obviously it\u2019s becoming a more attractive league for players. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have made the move in recent years, and now Antoine Griezmann is playing in the MLS as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo they\u2019ve proved they can tempt some of the biggest names to make that move.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, as things stand, probably all signs point to a move to the Saudi Pro League with maybe the MLS as the other option.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where is Salah\u2019s most likely destination as things stand?<\/p>\n

Despite the interest from a number of European giants and clubs in the MLS, the 33-year-old is widely expected to finally make his move to the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0revealed on 27 March that\u00a0Saudi clubs are preparing moves for Salah<\/a>\u00a0and hope to lure him to the Pro League after years of trying.<\/p>\n

The long-standing interest from Middle Eastern clubs has not been a secret, and\u00a0a \u00a3150million bid for his signature which was rebuffed by the Reds in 2023.<\/p>\n

They would be prepared to make him the face of the league as the world\u2019s most high-profile Muslim footballer, where he would compete with Cristiano Ronaldo.<\/p>\n

As a result, Pro League clubs are believed to be accelerating plans to bring him in, where he would go head-to-head with Cristiano Ronaldo.<\/p>\n
