A main road in Wythenshawe was closed by emergency services on Thursday (May 8) after a crash between a motorbike and a car.<\/p>\n
Police, paramedics and fire crews raced to Southmoor Road, near to the Roundthorn Metrolink<\/a> stop, at around 5.20pm. The route was closed in both directions from the junction with Ledson Road amid the response<\/p>\n Firefighters cleared debris and oil from the road as one person was given medical treatment at the scene by paramedics.<\/p>\n Join the Manchester Evening News WhatsApp group <\/strong>HERE<\/a><\/p>\n Further details about the nature of the collision haven not yet been confirmed. Greater Manchester Police<\/a> have been approached for a statement.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: \u201cAt around 5:20pm today (Thursday, 8th May), firefighters were called to the scene of a crash at the junction of Southmoor Road and Ledson Road in Wythenshawe<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cOne fire engine from Wythenshawe fire station quickly arrived at the scene, which involved a collision between a motorbike and a car.<\/p>\n “Firefighters worked to clear debris and oil from the road, while one casualty was treated at the scene by colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
