call for proposals Strand 1, that focused on process, service, and business model innovation, developing advanced textile recycling technologies, regional recycling hubs, and a digital ecosystem for matchmaking and capacity building.<\/p>\n<p>After a three-year journey, the EU-funded project, which brought together 43 partners from 11 European regions, has come to an end, having proved that interregional cooperation can truly turn circular ambitions into industrial reality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Impact at a glance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>25 SME\u2011led pilot investments<\/strong> moved from lab to near\u2011market, with most expected to commercialise in 1\u20133 years;<\/li>\n<li><strong>At least 70% of the EU grant went to SMEs<\/strong>, who surpassed every planned deliverable and milestone;<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>pan\u2011European team of 43 partners<\/strong> from <strong>11 regions in 8 countries<\/strong>, leveraging know-how towards the same direction &#8211; industry, research, regions and innovators working as one;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Five regional hubs<\/strong> that mapped SME needs and developed, accordingly, services and value chains<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tools that stay (and keep helping SMEs)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/regiogreentex.eu\/\" class=\"ecl-link ecl-link--icon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">RegioGreenTex Digital Tool<\/a> (on Ellie.Connect) keeps matchmaking, sharing trainings and hosting our knowledge base.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/queststudio.be\/case\/designing-and-building-a-matchmaking-tool-for-textile-surplus\/\" class=\"ecl-link ecl-link--icon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Waste Wizard<\/a> shows how AI\u2011enhanced matchmaking can link leftover textiles with the right re\u2011use or recycling routes.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecirculargarment.eu\/\" class=\"ecl-link ecl-link--icon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Circular Garment<\/a> is living proof that interregional collaboration can give birth to innovative articles of clothing, while enhancing sustainability and a circular-life approach.<\/li>\n<li>A practical\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecirculargarment.eu\/documentary\" class=\"ecl-link ecl-link--icon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cbehind the scenes\u201d documentary<\/a> of the Circular Garment, showcasing its journey from first sketch to real-life product, serving also as benchmark for future similar projects.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/chrome-extension:\/\/efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj\/https:\/euratex.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/D7.4-Final-Progress-Report.pdf\" class=\"ecl-link ecl-link--icon\" rel=\"nofollow\">comprehensive deliverable<\/a> focusing on the key actions, legacy of the project and potential source of inspiration for SMEs that target innovation and require funding.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Proof from the factory floor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From <strong>recycled\u2011content yarn processes<\/strong> (Tintex) to <strong>Recycrom\u2122 low\u2011impact dyeing<\/strong> (Officina39), <strong>ultrasonic quilting for full recyclability<\/strong> (Rovitex) and <strong>hybrid recycled\u2011fibre yarns<\/strong> (Hilaturas Mar), the pilots showed concrete, repeatable ways to cut impact without losing performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The final event in November also provided the best opportunity for the project to advance <a href=\"https:\/\/euratex.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/D7.4-Final-Progress-Report.pdf\" class=\"ecl-link ecl-link--icon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">evidence\u2011based recommendations<\/a>, from harmonised standards and upgraded sorting\/recycling capacity to targeted SME support, skills and data frameworks, to unlock scale across regions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And to make the journey tangible, a <strong>photo exhibition at the European Parliament<\/strong> put faces and places to the results, building momentum with policymakers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>RegioGreenTex proved that when <strong>regions, clusters and SMEs work together<\/strong>, circularity turns into new value chains, local jobs and competitive advantage for Europe\u2019s textile sector.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s next<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The hubs are open for collaboration, the digital tools are live, and the pilot portfolio is primed for investors and adopters, so the work (and the wins) continue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"RegioGreenTex is one of the first projects funded under the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument programme &#8211;
