How Soho House Manchester’s rooftop pool is set to look when it finally opens in 2025<\/p>\n

It will be another summer without a rooftop pool in Manchester for Soho House members – after bosses confirmed the new opening date for the highly-anticipated club after years of delays.<\/p>\n

The most recent update had suggested Soho House Manchester would open in “early 2025”.<\/p>\n

But this week members have been sent emails to confirm a new opening date – of October 2025.<\/p>\n

The luxury private members club announced last year that it was having to put back its opening again after “unforeseen building delays”, saying it would instead open in “early 2025”.<\/p>\n

The venue had initially been scheduled to open in late 2022, after bosses began a huge refurbishment of the old Granada Studios building just off Quay Street in Manchester city centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The ambitious build includes the glamorous new rooftop pool, an extensive gym and late-night bar and lounge, but has been delayed numerous times.<\/p>\n

The project was hit by further delays when its constructor, AJ Constructions, entered administration and ceased trading, as revealed by the MEN<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n

Memberships for the venue were first opened amid a blaze of publicity<\/a> in June 2023 – with the plan at that stage for Soho House Manchester to open by the end of 2023.<\/p>\n

Members already paying their \u00a31,925-a-year subs for the venue were contacted by email on Thursday with the latest update.<\/p>\n

The email, seen by the MEN, says: “We are excited to announce that Soho House Manchester will be opening in October this year.”<\/p>\n

It promises more updates will be issued soon on the progress of the site.<\/p>\n

Members who have been paying their fees since June 2023 have been able to accrue the money paid as “credits” to use once the venue opens. But the email also confirms that “the accrual of membership credits will now come to an end.”<\/p>\n

Soho House will take over five floors of the former Granada Studios building, while another five floors of the vast space will become a Mollie’s Hotel, a sister venue from the operator, inspired by American motels.<\/p>\n

The interiors of Soho House Manchester will “take inspiration from the history of the Old Granada Studios and its 1950s-1960s heritage”.<\/p>\n

It is set to boast an eclectic collection of bespoke and vintage furniture pieces which will “reference the era of the building”.<\/p>\n

There will be an “extensive members’ gym” with studio space for classes, a steam room and sauna that will open on to a balcony. An outdoor rooftop pool will boast sunbeds and a pool bar while a spiral staircase connects to the 9th floor above, where a late-night bar and live music space will overlook the pool.<\/p>\n

On the eighth floor will be a casual lounge area for food and drinks, and a members’ restaurant for more formal dining. On the 7th floor there will be a flexible events space with large central bar and DJ booth.<\/p>\n

Soho House Manchester will also offer 23 bedrooms on the 6th floor dedicated to members, which will range from cosy rooms to large suites plus a vast two-bedroom private apartment that can be booked.<\/p>\n

Membership of Soho House is open to “creatives” and involves filling in an application form. Once approved for membership, you gain access to the House with up to three guests.<\/p>\n

Membership costs \u00a32,950 a year for access to over 40 Soho Houses globally, or \u00a31,925 a year for access to Soho House Manchester only.
