Rangers are confident Ashton Scally will sign a first professional contract at Ibrox.<\/p>\n
The talented left-back has been linked with a host of English Premier League<\/a> clubs, including Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.<\/p>\n The Light Blues are aware of the interest but have tabled a strong three-year deal of their own.<\/p>\n Danny Rohl <\/a>and major Ibrox figures have also made it clear there is a genuine first-team pathway for Scally should he continue to develop the way he has.<\/p>\n Sources have confirmed the Rangers contract could be finalised imminently for the 15-year-old who turns 16 later this month.<\/p>\n The Scotland youth cap \u2013 who is the son of Clyde coach Neil Scally \u2013 is eligible to sign professional forms when he turns 16 later this month.<\/p>\n Scally has already been up to train with Rohl\u2019s first-team and is highly thought of.<\/p>\n Rohl wanted to put Scally and Kyle Glasgow into his squad for their Scottish Cup clash with Annan, but were denied by red -tape because they were still only 15 at the time.<\/p>\n Glasgow signed his first professional contract with Rangers earlier this year.<\/a><\/p>\n It has been a fight for the Light Blues to keep many of their rising academy stars.<\/p>\n
