Manchester United fans waxed lyrical about one key first-team player stepping up for Ruben Amorim\u2019s men after the Europa League semi-final win against Athletic Club.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Red Devils are through to the 2025 Europa League final and Manchester United<\/a> will meet Premier League rivals Tottenham at the San Mames Stadium on 21st May.<\/p>\n

Tottenham defeated Norwegian side Bodo\/Glimt across both legs of the Europa League semi-final and have now punched their ticket to the final in Bilbao.<\/p>\n

Ange Postecoglou\u2019s men beat Bodo\/Glimt 3-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first leg before Spurs picked up a 2-0 result away from home on Thursday.<\/p>\n

United defeated 10-man Athletic Club in Spain<\/a> last Thursday in the first leg of the semi-finals before hosting the La Liga outfit for the return leg at Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils came from 1-0 down in the second leg and United thumped Athletic Club 4-1 at Old Trafford<\/a> and secured their place in the final of the Europa League.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim<\/a> is now within touching distance of securing his first piece of major silverware as United manager<\/a> after his arrival from Sporting CP in 2024.<\/p>\n

The Europa League is crucial to United\u2019s 2024-25 campaign and the trophy would offer the Red Devils a vital place in the Champions League for the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n

Casemiro<\/a> started the second-leg Europa League tie for Manchester United against Athletic Club<\/a> alongside Red Devils teammate Manuel Ugarte<\/a> in the heart of midfield.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old Brazilian midfielder has seen a major turnaround in form in recent months and Casemiro has played a key role in the Europa League run this season.<\/p>\n

Casemiro has established himself as an important United first-team<\/a> player for Ruben Amorim and he made a major impact against Athletic Club in the 4-1 win.<\/p>\n

The former Real Madrid star put United 2-1 up in the 79th minute before Amorim withdrew him and replaced him with Kobbie Mainoo<\/a> on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

United fans<\/a> on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, raved about Casemiro\u2019s performance against Athletic Club and his impact for the Red Devils.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all need to apologise to [uncle] Casemiro now. What a player he is,\u201d one Red Devils supporter suggested.<\/p>\n

Another United fan said: \u201cCasemiro to score in the final, [it] is written in the stars.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother masterclass from Casemiro in Europe,\u201d a third X user wrote.<\/p>\n

Somebody else tweeted: \u201cThis is the Casemiro we know from the first season we signed him; kudos to him for stepping up his game once again.\u201d<\/p>\n

While a fifth added: \u201cForm is temporary, class is permanent.\u201d<\/p>\n

And a sixth claimed: \u201cCasemiro is a great example to the rest of [the] Man Utd squad. Elite mentality.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCasemiro just loves to boss Spanish teams reminiscing of his Madrid days,\u201d another commented.<\/p>\n

Somebody else argued: \u201cAll my hopes for the final are around Casemiro. No joke. He\u2019s a born European [trophy] winner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim makes his feelings clear on the 2025 Europa League final against Tottenham<\/p>\n

Red Devils boss Amorim insisted that he wants to avoid any injuries ahead of United\u2019s showdown with Tottenham in the 2025 Europa League final in Spain.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just worried about the next game, trying to not get any injuries for the final,\u201d he told TNT Sports, as per BBC Sport<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we don\u2019t win the final, it means nothing for us. We have to have a full squad [against Tottenham], stay in the game and have a bit of luck and we have to be clinical.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s quite similar for me and Ange [Postecoglou]. It is a tough moment [for us both] and one of us is going to win. It\u2019s going to be a big final and we will try to win.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard to describe what it\u2019s like to be [the] manager of this club and you want to give them [the fans] something because we were so disappointing in the Premier League. We want to give something to the fans.\u201d<\/p>\n
