Tickets for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics<\/a> go on sale starting April 9, but you may get the opportunity to score tickets sooner if you\u2019re considered a local.<\/p>\n

The presale for Los Angeles locals, applicable to fans in Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, kicks off on Thursday, April 2, according to LA28<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, both the presale for locals and the sale for general public only applies to fans who registered for a chance to secure a time slot for these sales. That registration deadline was March 18, according to LA28.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what to know about the tickets going on sale.<\/p>\n

Who can buy tickets during the presale for the LA Olympics?<\/p>\n

Those who registered by the March 18 deadline and whose billing postal codes fell within the qualifying counties were automatically entered into the presale, according to LA28.<\/p>\n

From there, people will be randomly selected and given an assigned time slot to snag tickets between April 2-6. LA28 said people can be notified as late as April 4 regarding their time slot.<\/p>\n

Those who don\u2019t get selected for the local presale will be automatically entered into a future ticket draw, according to LA28.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not a local. When do I get to buy tickets for the LA Olympics?<\/p>\n

All remaining registrants will get an email by April 7 notifying them that they either have a time slot to get tickets when the general sale kicks off on April 9, or that they don\u2019t have a time slot and will automatically be registered for the next ticket draw, according to LA28.<\/p>\n

How many tickets can I buy for the LA Olympics?<\/p>\n

Those who score a time slot will get the opportunity to purchase tickets across all Olympic events, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies. Fans will get to purchase up to 12 tickets for Olympic events and up to 12 soccer tournament tickets, according to LA28. The number of tickets for each ceremony is capped at four.<\/p>\n

Can I buy resale tickets for the LA Olympics? What to know<\/p>\n

See tickets for resale before 2027? Know that those tickets haven\u2019t been verified by LA28.<\/p>\n

LA28 said that the only platforms that will provide verified LA28 tickets for resale will be LA28\u2019s Official Secondary Ticket Marketplace, AXS and Eventim, as well as other verified resale platforms such as Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets. However, those platforms won\u2019t make tickets available for resale until 2027.<\/p>\n

When are the 2028 Summer Olympics in LA?<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony will be held on July 14 for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The closing ceremony will be held on July 30. The soccer competition for the Olympics will begin several days<\/a> before the opening ceremony on July 10.<\/p>\n
