Donald Trump used his primetime address to the nation to announce that the war in Iran, which has now lasted over a month, is winding down \u2013 as a new poll shows the president\u2019s approval ratings continue to drop.<\/p>\n
The president said almost all of America\u2019s military objectives had been met, while rehashing many of his previous talking points about the conflict.<\/p>\n
\u201cTonight, I’m pleased to say that these core strategic objectives are nearing completion,\u201d he said, though he offered no further information on what the objectives had been.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we celebrate this progress, we think especially of the thirteen American warriors who have laid down their lives in this fight to prevent our children from ever having to face a nuclear Iran,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
