As the days get warmer and longer, Slung Low\u2019s Warehouse in Holbeck comes out of hibernation with three touring shows in April.<\/p>\n
The Tower and the Telescope<\/strong>\u00a0 |\u00a0 Saturday 4 April, 7:30pm,<\/p>\n theOBJECTproject return to Slung Low with their latest slice of clown\/puppet dystopia, following in the wake of PIXIEMATOSIS and The Ballad of the Underwater Daughter.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a hand-cranked, clanking puppet world where everyone and everything feels irretrievably lost. But it\u2019s all ok because something is watching over them. Something huge and warm and fuzzy almost like happiness .\u2026 except with massive bone crushing arms.<\/p>\n Fixing<\/strong>\u00a0 |\u00a0 Saturday 11 April, 7:30pm<\/p>\n When Matt was little, their dad bought a classic car. A 1954 Sunbeam Talbot Mark II. Dad had ideas that he and Matt would do it up, repair, rebuild together.<\/p>\n Now in their 30\u2019s, Matt would like to learn how to fix a car engine. Matt can\u2019t do this alone, which is tricky for a solo show.<\/p>\n That\u2019s where Matt\u2019s drag alter-ego Natalie Spanner comes in.<\/p>\n Matt and Natalie will try to ask, in an increasingly broken world, how might we repair ourselves, together?<\/p>\n Bus Stop Goths<\/strong>\u00a0 |\u00a0 Saturday 25 April, 7:30pm.<\/p>\n Fantasy meets punk with a Teesside twist.<\/p>\n A joyfully chaotic celebration of youth expression and identity.<\/p>\n Join celestial beings Sid and Viv as they keep a watchful eye on the streets of Middlesbrough. Their office might be in a dingy basement, but the streets they look in on are far from drab and gloomy.<\/p>\n As always these shows are pay-what-you-feel, book your free tickets and decide how much to pay after the show.
