The best places in Scotland to see cherry blossoms this spring have been revealed, with a beautiful city park singled out. Travel experts at Muddy Stilettos have shared a list of the “best spots to catch the best of the cherry blossoms” across the country.<\/p>\n

According to the experts, The Meadows in Edinburgh is the “undisputed queen” of cherry blossoms in Scotland<\/a>. The large public park, which is situated to the south of the city centre, is comprised mainly of open grassland that is crossed by tree-lined where cherry blossoms can be found.<\/p>\n

Muddy Stilettos stated<\/a>: “Long, symmetrical avenues of cherry trees explode into frothy pink clouds each April, drawing picnickers, dog walkers and Instagrammers in equal measure. Dodge the crowds and go early in the morning\u2014the light at that time of day makes it all the more magical.”<\/p>\n

Other locations in Edinburgh<\/a> and the Lothians that were named by the experts as good for seeing cherry blossoms over the spring include Princes Street Gardens and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. The latter in particular was included due to its ornamental Japanese varieties and on-site caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, among the best locations in Glasgow<\/a> to see cherry blossoms according to Muddy Stilettos are the Glasgow Botanic Gardens and Kelvingrove Park. The former was praised for the backdrop of Kibble Palace glasshouse, while Kelvingrove Park was noted for its river views.<\/p>\n

Another Glasgow destination included on the roundup is Pollok Country Park, which is a 146-hectare country park situated between Shawlands, Crossmyloof, and Pollok. According to the experts, the cherry blossoms in the park are scattered and so need to be discovered.<\/p>\n

In Fife<\/a> and the East Coast of Scotland, the University of St Andrews, Falkland Palace, and Pittencrieff Park were included on Muddy Stilettos’ roundup. The University of St Andrews and Falkland Palace were praised for their historic backdrops, while Pittencrieff Park was described as a “hidden gem”.<\/p>\n

For those in Dundee<\/a> and Tayside looking to see cherry blossoms bloom this spring, Muddy Stilettos singled out the University of Dundee Botanic Garden and Camperdown Country Park. The University of Dundee Botanic Garden earned praise for its peace and quiet, while the 400-acre Camperdown Country Park was noted for its sprawling woodland trails.<\/p>\n

Duthie Park and Seaton Park are two destinations in Aberdeen and North East included on the roundup, with the former described by Muddy Stilettos as a good place for a picnic. Meanwhile, the experts stated that Seaton Park offers spectacular views of the historic St Machar’s Cathedral.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Harmony Garden and Abbotsford are two locations in the Scottish Borders that earned a spot on the roundup. Harmony Garden is a garden in the town of Melrose that was highlighted for its herbaceous borders and rolling countryside, while Abbotsford is best known as the home of Sir Walter Scott.<\/p>\n

Finally, the University of Stirling and Dollar Glen are two destinations in Stirling and Central Scotland that were named by Muddy Stilettos. The University of Stirling was included on the roundup due to its mountain vistas, while Dollar Glen was noted for woodland backdrop.<\/p>\n
