Usher&#8217;s Bakehouse, located in the Baltic Triangle, has removed all signs from its storefront.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/bakery-making-irresistible-food-coming-32282003\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">Usher&#8217;s Bakehouse <\/a>was the latest venture from Gary Usher, the chef behind Liverpool&#8217;s seafood restaurant Wreck. His company, Elite Bistro&#8217;s, owns sites including <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/bakery-making-irresistible-food-coming-32282003\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">Chester&#8217;s Sticky Walnut, Didsbury&#8217;s Hispi <\/a>and <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news\/liverpool-news\/gary-ushers-restaurant-closes-after-30736555\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">Burnt Truffle in Heswall<\/a>, which closed last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">In 2024, Gary sought to revive the family baker name and opened Usher\u2019s Bakehouse in Hoole, Chester. On its opening day, the bakery reported there had been queues early in the morning to get in with its bread and cookies &#8220;selling out fast&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/bakery-making-irresistible-food-coming-32282003\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">Liverpool&#8217;s Usher&#8217;s Bakehouse<\/a> opened on Baltic Triangle&#8217;s Bridgewater Street on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. The company said it would be \u201cbringing the city the same irresistible baked goods that have taken Chester by storm&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Usher's Bakehouse when it opened in the Baltic Triangle\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/0_Ushers-Bakehouse-Liverpool-pic-1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p aria-label=\"Usher's Bakehouse when it opened in the Baltic Triangle\" class=\"ImageCaption_caption-title__ccyQU\" data-testid=\"caption-title\">Usher&#8217;s Bakehouse when it opened in the Baltic Triangle(Image: Elite Bistros)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Now, the site appears to be permanently closed, with all signs removed from the premises. The Usher&#8217;s Bakehouse branding has been removed from the glass front along with furniture inside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Usher&#8217;s Bakehouse is listed as permanently closed on Google, with the Liverpool site also removed from the company website&#8217;s list of locations and social media biographies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The last reference publicly made to the Liverpool site was on January 31 on Instagram. His grandad, Gordon Usher, opened the original Usher\u2019s Bakehouse in St Albans, back in 1968.
