For Jay-Z, the “Excuse Me Miss” emcee will perform in his hometown at Yankee Stadium<\/a> after more than a decade to celebrate milestone anniversaries from his career.<\/p>\n Jay-Z looks on prior to the start of Super Bowl LX between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium on February 08, 2026 in Santa Clara, California.<\/p>\n The first show will honor the 30th anniversary of his debut album, “Reasonable Doubt,” and the second one will recognize the 25th anniversary of “The Blueprint.”<\/p>\n The news had fans in a frenzy to try to secure tickets, and due to the demand, a third performance, dubbed “Extra Innings,”<\/a> was added to the lineup. The show isn\u2019t connected to a specific album, but will \u201cbuild on the momentum\u201d of the other two shows, said a release announcing the new concert.<\/p>\n Ye’s upcoming performance sparks backlash<\/p>\n Ye, formerly known as Kanye West<\/a>, is slated as the headliner for the Wireless Festival<\/a> at Finsbury Park in London.<\/p>\n “11 years later, Ye returns to London for a three night journey through his most iconic records,” the festival wrote on its website.<\/a> The Chicago native last performed in the U.K. in 2015.<\/p>\n Ye has attracted controversy in recent years over his\u00a0comments deriding both Jewish and Black people<\/a>, but is seemingly attempting a comeback. He dropped his new album “Bully” earlier this month, after taking\u00a0out a full-page ad<\/a>\u00a0in the Wall Street Journal to apologize for his past remarks. Ye has also been\u00a0accused in two lawsuits of sexual misconduct<\/a>\u00a0by former employees.<\/p>\n US rapper and producer Kanye West waves after arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on July 11, 2025.<\/p>\n His upcoming performance has sparked backlash from local officials. According to Variety, London Mayor Sadiq Khan spoke out about the festival’s controversial move.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cWe are clear that the past comments and actions of this artist are offensive and wrong, and are simply not reflective of London\u2019s values,\u201d a spokesperson for Khan toldthe outlet. \u201cThis was a decision taken by the festival organizers and not one that City Hall is involved in.”<\/p>\n Jay-Z, Ye have a complicated friendship Ye and Jay-Z have a complicated history and have distanced in recent years.<\/p>\n Former collaborators and close friends, Jay-Z and Kanye West have had a hot-and-cold relationship over the years.<\/p>\n Recently, in 2025, Ye went on a since-deleted rant on X about the Brooklyn rapper and his wife, Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>.
