Bristol Rovers first-team coach David Horseman has left the club following the conclusion of the 2024\/25 season.<\/p>\n

Horseman, who hails from Bristol, arrived at Rovers last summer as a club appointment. The former Forest Green and Southampton Under-21s manager worked under both Matt Taylor and Inigo Calderon while also taking interim charge when the former was both on leave and relieved of his duties.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old took to LinkedIn to share that he is “seeking a new role” while listing Bristol Rovers<\/a> as one of his previous places of work.<\/p>\n

When asked for comment by Bristol Live<\/a>, Bristol Rovers said: “The club can confirm that Dave Horseman has left his position. The club will confirm changes to the coaching department in due course.”<\/p>\n

The Gas appointed Darrell Clarke as their new head coach earlier this week after the departure of Inigo Calderon, which also saw coach Miguel Llera leave after a brief spell at Rovers.<\/p>\n

Director of football Ricky Martin was asked about news regarding Clarke’s backroom staff by BBC Radio Bristol in an extended interview, with Martin saying: “That\u2019s ongoing. There will be news bites throughout pre-season and updates here and there and communication with our supporters, but communication with our colleagues as well.<\/p>\n

“Everyone that works at the football club as well is really key and we\u2019ve tried to be consistent with that in the last few weeks. We want that to continue and we\u2019ll update as and when we have any news or developments, both in the staff and the structure, but also in the playing staff as well.”<\/p>\n

As of last week as the season ended, Rovers also had Kevin Bond and goalkeeping coach James Bittner on their coaching staff, along with head of performance Tom Short.<\/p>\n
