“His humble action was a token of His love that knew no bounds or boundaries and is central to Christian belief.”<\/p>\n
The King also spoke about Judaism and Islam, adding: “The love He showed when He walked the Earth reflected the Jewish ethic of caring for the stranger and those in need, a deep human instinct echoed in Islam and other religious traditions, and in the hearts of all who seek the good of others.”<\/p>\n
His Majesty’s message from last year continued: “The abiding message of Easter is that God so loved the world – the whole world – that He sent His son to live among us to show us how to love one another, and to lay down His own life for others in a love that proved stronger than death.<\/p>\n
“There are three virtues that the world still needs – faith, hope and love. ‘And the greatest of these is love’.”<\/p>\n

His message concluded: “It is with these timeless truths in my mind, and my heart, that I wish you all a blessed and peaceful Easter.”<\/p>\n
The King’s mother, Queen Elizabeth II, did not issue an Easter message every year, but provided a special televised appearance in 2020 during Covid.<\/p>\n
The late Queen followed up the year after with a written Easter message during ongoing restrictions.<\/p>\n
King Charles and Queen Camilla will attend the traditional Easter church service in Windsor today.<\/p>\n

The royal couple will be joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales at the service.<\/p>\n
Notable absentees will be Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who have made separate plans with the agreement of the King.<\/p>\n
Last year, Charles and Camilla were joined by the former Duke of York and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, at the 15th-century chapel on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n
Since then, the King has revoked Andrew’s rights to be a prince and his dukedom due to his connection with Jeffrey Epstein, though Beatrice and Eugenie retain their princess titles.<\/p>\n
Andrew was arrested in February, on his 66th birthday, on suspicion of misconduct in public office after allegations that he shared sensitive information during his time as the UK’s trade envoy.<\/p>\n
He has always denied any wrongdoing, but has not directly responded to the latest allegations.<\/p>\n
