In between Crosslands and BrewHaus, it was briefly known as Franco’s, a nod to Begbie’s nickname.

Begbie’s legendary pint throw in Trainspotting was filmed in The BrewHaus

Although the bar delights in proclaiming itself “the pub from Trainspotting”, it really is so much more – and that’s why it is so popular. It has everything you want from a city bar; a good atmosphere, wide range of drinks, tasty food, welcoming staff, sport on the TV, quiz nights and live music, and more.

Possibly the jewel in its crown, outside of the obvious movie link, is its incredible beer garden. And the recent addition of an Aspall tap went down well with this writer. There are also cocktails, wines, spirits, and shots – as well as mocktails and low or no alcohol options for teetotallers and designated drivers.

Their food menu contains Trainspotting-themed pizzas, as well as burgers, pub classics, paninis, and bar snacks, while there is also a kids’ menu.
