rel=\"noopener\">Investment<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Four innovative UK hubs across Merseyside, East Anglia, the Midlands and North East England are set to get fresh backing to grow more spinouts.<\/p>\n<p>A fresh \u00a330m in funding will support a taskforce of world-leading universities and industry experts across the locations to take advantage of the opportunity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This has been announced in an attempt to create new jobs, develop the industries of tomorrow and drive economic growth through the UK Government\u2019s Plan for Change.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/businesscloud.co.uk\/events\/fuel-liverpool-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"subscribe banner\" class=\"js-lazyload nextgen-img\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/businesscloud\/bundle\/images\/ad-banners\/fuel_liverpool_banner.gif\" height=\"90\" width=\"728\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 728\/90\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The investment is set to support efforts to incubate and spin out new companies to create a more attractive environment to investors and entrepreneurs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Universities including Newcastle University and the Universities of Liverpool, Cambridge and Birmingham are all poised to benefit from the backing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"hhhct4BROY\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/businesscloud.co.uk\/news\/stellar-line-up-of-speakers-at-fuel-liverpool\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stellar line-up of speakers at FUEL Liverpool<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The government is also priming the public sector with first ever guidance to put fresh groundbreaking ideas on the path to investment.<\/p>\n<p>With step-by-step advice, a new generation of British R&amp;D entrepreneurs in the public sector will be equipped with the tools necessary to turn ambitious research into marketable products.<\/p>\n<p>Announcing the news on a visit to Aston University, Science Minister, Lord Vallance said: \u201cThe UK is home to some of the world\u2019s best universities, and we have deep strengths from life sciences to cutting-edge fields like quantum and engineering biology.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut we can and must do more to unlock scientific research\u2019s vast economic potential, and to help our innovators\u2019 world-leading public sector labs turn brilliant ideas into businesses that attract investment and sustain jobs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe funding and guidance we are announcing today will reinforce those efforts \u2013 supporting our mission to grow the economy as part of the Plan for Change.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\"
