An injury to Paik Seung-ho prompted the confusion on Birmingham City’s<\/a> bench at half-time in their defeat to Ipswich Town.<\/a><\/p>\n Ethan Laird<\/a> spent half-time being put through his paces in preparation to replace Jonathan Panzo at left-back. Makeshift full-back Panzo had a torrid time in the first half up against Ipswich match-winner Kasey McAteer but he was briefly given a reprieve by Chris Davies.<\/p>\n Paik <\/a>reported some ankle discomfort in the dressing room and had to be replaced by Tomoki Iwata.<\/p>\n FOLLOW ON FACEBOOK! <\/strong>All the latest Blues news on Birmingham Live\u2019s Birmingham City FC Facebook page<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n With Davies reluctant to make two changes at half-time, Laird was told to put his tracksuit back on for another 10 minutes.<\/p>\n Davies explained: “Paik had to come off and with Tomo coming on for Paik I was reluctant to make two changes, I didn\u2019t think it was necessary so I just thought I would delay on that.<\/p>\n “Ethan does well on that side. It will be better when we\u2019ve got a natural left-footer back there with Kai (Wagner) or Alex (Cochrane).
