As the weather warms and the days grow longer, day trips are becoming more frequent for all of us. Our love for pretty villages here is evident, and a list of the poshest villages in the UK has been released. <\/p>\n

The Telegraph<\/a> has announced its selection of the poshest villages in the UK<\/strong>, dividing them by region. As a result, Kippen in the Trossachs National Park<\/strong>, just an hour from Glasgow and 15 minutes from Stirling, was named one of the poshest villages in the country, with some of the highest property prices. The list also took into account a lively community, a thriving village hall, great pubs, local shops and sporting facilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Median house prices are a whopping \u00a3348,281<\/strong> in Kippen, boasting stunning views and the status of being a conservation village. Named as a \u201cparadise for hikers<\/a>\u201c, Kippen is perfect for the great outdoors for all experience levels, located between the\u00a0Gargunnock Hills\u00a0and the\u00a0Fintry Hills.<\/p>\n

What is more, locals and visitors alike can go salmon fishing, as well as sailing and other water activities on Loch Lomond<\/a><\/strong>. Kippen also hosts their annual \u201cStreet Fayre\u201d, which is opened by the Fayre King and Queen, boasting plenty of food and charity stalls, as well as musical events.<\/p>\n

The village is home to local football and curling teams, as well as a railway station with connections to Edinburgh and Glasgow in under 50 minutes.<\/p>\n

The village also boasts a strong community feel, with The Pheasant Inn pub and Hightown Club hosting events such as cricket, rugby, tennis, quiz nights, and yoga and Latin American dance classes. <\/p>\n
