If you\u2019re familiar with this little corner of the internet, it\u2019s highly likely that you\u2019re aware of the rather sizeable soft spot that I have for the city\u2019s trailblazing transport network<\/strong>. Spanning the length and breadth of the capital (and beyond), the London Underground<\/a> is impressively intricate, spanning 250 miles via 11 lines and 272 stations. So, there\u2019s a lot going on beneath the streets of our city. But this game-changing Tube map<\/strong> certainly makes it a lot easier to navigate.<\/p>\n

Now, I know what you\u2019re thinking, folks. There\u2019s nothing particularly pioneering about a London Tube map<\/strong>. But this is not your average London Tube map, my friends. This is a live London Tube map, detailing the exact location, destination, and model o<\/strong>f each and every train on the London Underground \u2013 in real time.<\/p>\n

Londonunderground.live<\/strong> does what it says on the tin, really. Created by engineer and writer, Ben James<\/strong>; the animated map uses Transport for London open data to pinpoint the exact location of each train, along with where it\u2019s heading and how long it will take to reach the next few stations. The same reliable and oh-so recognisable colours that we all know and love represent the Tube lines<\/strong>, and each stop is signified by a little circle. You can watch the trains move along the lines in real time, and you can even see any traffic, delays, or blockages along the way.<\/p>\n

Not only is it extremely useful, the map is also pretty entertaining to use. It\u2019s interactive, so you can zoom in and out, checking in on how the Tubes are getting on in different parts of the city. When completely zoomed out, you can see an expansive topogrophy of London<\/strong>, and as you begin to zoom in, 3D images of the most legendary London landmarks<\/a> begin to appear. Try not to spend too much time gawping at the mesmerising map, though \u2013 we wouldn\u2019t want you to miss your Tube, after all.<\/p>\n
