{"id":878732,"date":"2026-04-07T21:15:27","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T21:15:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/878732\/"},"modified":"2026-04-07T21:15:27","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T21:15:27","slug":"assisted-living-units-plan-off-whitehall-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/878732\/","title":{"rendered":"Assisted living units plan off Whitehall Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Plans for eight assisted living units have been submitted for disused land off Whitehall Road in Wortley.<\/p>\n<p>The new units would be built in two blocks, near the junction with Dunlop Avenue, and include landscaping, parking and access.<\/p>\n<p>The proposals have been submitted to Leeds City Council by care company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebridgecare.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bridge Community Care<\/a> and include parking for 16 cars and four cycle spaces.<\/p>\n<p>A planning statement submitted by the developer concludes: \u201cThe proposal represents a sustainable redevelopment of a disused brownfield site, of a high design quality, providing a purpose-built care facility that meets identified needs for specialist housing in Leeds District. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will create local jobs, deliver high-quality design, and make efficient use of land in line with the policies of the Leeds Development Plan and Framework guidance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The plans can be <a href=\"https:\/\/publicaccess.leeds.gov.uk\/online-applications\/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=TCG1J0JBJQI00&amp;activeTab=summary\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">viewed in full here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Leeds City Council expects to decide the application by 20 May.
