Romano emphasised the urgency from England, stating: \u201cThe idea of the Premier League clubs\u2026 is to close the deal this month.\u201d That means by the end of May\u2014weeks before the transfer window formally opens. This aligns with a growing trend of clubs seeking to complete major business early, especially for players with well-defined contractual terms.<\/p>\n

Clause Set at \u20ac50 Million<\/p>\n

Romano reiterated the financial framework surrounding the 19-year-old, who has impressed during his time with Bournemouth. \u201cRemember 50M clause and Premier League interest,\u201d Romano said. \u201cThere is clause there\u201450 million pounds available for all the clubs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The presence of that fixed figure has created a more competitive landscape. Romano added that the Huijsen saga is filled with daily speculation: \u201cEvery day we have different reports. Every day we have different stories.\u201d Yet despite the noise, the interest from English clubs is concrete and consistent.<\/p>\n

Liverpool\u2019s inclusion in the chase adds weight to the narrative that the club are preparing for a long-term defensive refresh. Romano said clearly: \u201cLiverpool absolutely there,\u201d confirming the Merseyside club\u2019s strong involvement. It marks a notable shift in Liverpool\u2019s transfer posture, especially with questions surrounding their backline depth heading into Arne Slot\u2019s first summer in charge.<\/p>\n

While no formal agreement is yet in place, Romano\u2019s update confirms that Liverpool want to be proactive: \u201cPremier League clubs want to do the deal very fast.\u201d That puts the pressure on other suitors\u2014particularly those on the continent.<\/p>\n

European Interest Still Active<\/p>\n

Though the Premier League trio lead the race, European heavyweights remain in the background. \u201cBayern like Huijsen but they need to sell a defender in order to make it happen,\u201d Romano revealed. With Bayern stalling and Madrid hesitant, Premier League clubs\u2014especially Liverpool\u2014are positioned to move quickly and decisively.<\/p>\n

With the clause active and the window nearing, Romano summed it up best: \u201cThe feeling is that the Premier League clubs will be very aggressive, very strong.\u201d Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal appear ready to test that resolve\u2014none more so than the Reds.<\/p>\n
