ESB Energy has launched 10 bay ultra rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging hub in Birmingham as part of its commitment to expanding electric vehicle infrastructure across the region.<\/p>\n
Based on the A34 on one of the main routes into Birmingham, the new facility is designed to make electric vehicle (EV) charging faster, easier, and more convenient for drivers in the region.<\/p>\n
The hub features five 200kW chargers, providing space for up to 10 vehicles to charge simultaneously. Each charger is capable of delivering up to 135 miles of range in as little as ten minutes. The site also offers retail with Costa Coffee and Farmfoods.<\/p>\n
It aims to suppors ESB Energy\u2019s broader strategy to deliver an EV charging network across the East Midlands, and follows the opening of the new six-bay charging hub in Springhill.<\/p>\n
All charging points on the ESB Energy network across Birmingham, London, and Coventry, as well as the ultra-rapid hubs nationwide are powered by 100% renewable energy.<\/p>\n
