A woman alleged to have attacked members of the public and an emergency worker was arrested in Bristol.<\/p>\n

Police received multiple calls about a woman behaving aggressively in Broadmead at around 6pm on Tuesday, April 7.<\/p>\n

The woman, aged in her 40s, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a member of the public.<\/p>\n

She was later arrested on suspicion of a second assault, two counts of criminal damage and assaulting an emergency worker.<\/p>\n

Avon and Somerset Police say she was taken to hospital for assessment following the arrest and was in police custody on Wednesday, April 8.<\/p>\n

Police are continuing to make enquiries into the incident.<\/p>\n

A force spokesperson said: “A woman remains in police custody following a disturbance in Broadmead on Tuesday 7 April.<\/p>\n

“Police had several calls just before 6pm reporting a woman behaving aggressively.<\/p>\n

“Officers attended and at 6.08pm arrested a woman in her forties on suspicion of assaulting a member of the public, and later on suspicion of a second assault, two incidents of criminal damage and assaulting an emergency worker.<\/p>\n

“Following the arrest, the woman was taken to hospital for assessment, and is in police custody, Wednesday 8 April.<\/p>\n

“Enquiries continue, and officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or who has any other information or footage which could help the investigation.<\/p>\n
