{"id":883838,"date":"2026-04-10T03:56:16","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T03:56:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/883838\/"},"modified":"2026-04-10T03:56:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T03:56:16","slug":"edinburgh-retail-park-snapped-up-for-nearly-6m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/883838\/","title":{"rendered":"Edinburgh retail park snapped up for nearly \u00a36m"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tX<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/full-logo-white.png\" alt=\"The Business Desk\"\/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRegister for free to receive latest news stories direct to your inbox<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/register\/\" class=\"btn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Register<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Crown Estate Scotland has acquired Seafield Retail Park in Edinburgh for \u00a35.7m from Rankeilour Properties.<\/p>\n<p>The five-unit retail park extends to 24,815 sq ft and is fully let to tenants including Halfords, Connection Flooring, McGuirks Golf, Greggs and Subway, generating annual rental income of \u00a3428,630.<\/p>\n<p>The park also features EV charging operated by FOR:EV.<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Thain, investment partner at Galbraith, which advised on the sale, said: \u201cThey have executed their business plan for this prominent park over the last five years and the sale underlines the strength of the sector and also Edinburgh as a location for investment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cThroughout the country, the retail warehouse sector continues to see strong levels of tenant demand and rental growth, which in turn underpins pricing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rankeilour Properties bought the property in late 2020 and subdivided Unit 3 to accommodate Greggs and Subway while bringing EV charging to the park.<\/p>\n<p>Unit 2a is now occupied by McGuirks Golf\u2019s first mainland UK store, having previously been let to Archers Sleepcentre.<\/p>\n<p>Jack Chandler, of CBRE, which represented Crown Estate Scotland, said: \u201cThe retail warehouse sector has continued to demonstrate strong performance in a challenging wider market.
