When Darren Till’s deal with Misfits Boxing expired last year, he had multiple options on the table. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The former UFC<\/a> welterweight title challenger could have extended his contract with Misfits after an explosive 3-0 tenure with the crossover boxing promotion.<\/p>\n

There were also discussions with Jake Paul<\/a>‘s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) with a view to building towards a mega fight with ‘The Problem Child’.<\/p>\n

But in the end, Till’s head was turned by a bumper three-fight offer from BKFC.<\/a><\/p>\n

“We\u00a0had\u00a0been\u00a0in\u00a0talks, my\u00a0manager and I,\u00a0with MVP\u00a0for\u00a0a\u00a0while,” Till told talkSPORT.com.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We\u00a0went\u00a0back\u00a0and\u00a0forth.\u00a0They\u00a0were\u00a0really\u00a0keen\u00a0to\u00a0have\u00a0me,\u00a0and\u00a0obviously\u00a0that\u00a0would\u00a0have\u00a0been\u00a0good\u00a0for\u00a0them\u00a0to\u00a0build a Jake\u00a0Paul\u00a0fight\u00a0with me.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“But eventually, what\u00a0came to\u00a0fruition\u00a0was\u00a0a good\u00a0deal\u00a0being offered to me by BKFC.<\/p>\n

“There was no way I could have sat there at night and even pondered about it.<\/p>\n

“There was no way I could have turned it down. It was too good. <\/p>\n

“I spoke to a few friends, and my missus, and they all told me ‘You would be absolutely mental to turn that down.’<\/p>\n

“So that is ultimately what made me sign on the dotted line… I’ve signed a three-fight deal. I think it’s two with an option on the third.”<\/p>\n

When is Darren Till’s BKFC debut?<\/p>\n

Till will make his debut with Conor McGregor<\/a>‘s fast-rising bare-knuckle boxing promotion on May 30 in Birmingham.<\/p>\n

Till transitioned into boxing after leaving the UFC in 2022, and is now set to ditch the gloves<\/p>\n

He doesn’t know who his opponent is at the time of writing, nor does he know the weight he intends to compete at. <\/p>\n

“I’ve had a few names thrown at me, and I don’t mind who I fight in my first fight,” added Till.<\/p>\n

“But obviously they want to build me properly. So we will get the right opponent, and I’m sure we will make for a good fight.<\/p>\n

“I’m coming here for violence. This is a game of violence, and you can’t come with anything else.”<\/p>\n

While Till has been put through the wringer during a 24-fight (18-5-1) MMA career, he naturally has some reservations about taking a bare fist to the face. <\/p>\n

“The only thing I am actually worried about is that I’m actually a good-looking cat. I’m quite handsome,” Till quipped.<\/p>\n

Till will make his debut with Conor McGregor’s BKFC in MayCredit: BKFC\/FITE<\/p>\n

“So I don’t think I’m going to be looking the same after all this. <\/p>\n

“I’m going to have to have some f***** botox and some reconstructive surgery. <\/p>\n

“But I’ll have enough money for it, so that is okay.”<\/p>\n

Till’s maiden bout is expected to be a tune-up to introduce the Liverpudlian to the unforgiving sport.<\/p>\n

But when the shackles come off, he will be chasing the biggest fights possible.<\/p>\n

“I’d love Nate [Diaz<\/a>] or [Jorge] Masvidal<\/a> to come over and get that bag with me,” continued Till.<\/p>\n

“Obviously, the ultimate one, and the king of it all, is Mike Perry<\/a>. I’d really love that one.<\/p>\n

“There are other names I could say, but I don’t think it would ever happen.<\/p>\n

“I wouldn’t mind getting Tommy [Fury<\/a>] in the bare-knuckle, I just don’t think that is ever going to happen.<\/p>\n
