If you were big into your MMORPGs back in the 2000s, you probably came across a game called Wizard101<\/a><\/strong> – a turn-based deckbuilding title that still lives on today, and it’s just released on Xbox consoles for the very first time.<\/p>\n

As mentioned elsewhere on Pure Xbox, Wizard101 is one of a few betas that have just launched on Xbox<\/a>, taking the form of a “Game Preview” title that’s expected to transition into a full release at some point in the future. It’s going to remain free-to-play as far as we know though, albeit with the same microtransactions it has on PC.<\/p>\n

If you’re wondering what this game’s like, Wizard101 has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam<\/a> based on over 8,000 reviews, with players stating that it features strategic combat, an enjoyable storyline, and balanced classes and roles.<\/p>\n

There’s definitely some debate about whether the microtransactions are too invasive or not, but considering it’s totally free to download, you may as well give it a try and decide for yourself!<\/p>\n
