However, The Telegraph has highlighted some top spots to visit by narrowing down the country\u2019s towns to find the best \u201cpub towns\u201d \u2014 and two of Yorkshire\u2019s finest have come out on top.<\/p>\n

The Telegraph gets it right when describing the best local pubs as \u201ccommunity-focused places\u201d. Factors used to determine the top towns included affordable pints, a strong sense of tradition, and an avoidance of being overly modern.<\/p>\n

Taking first place on the list is Halifax in West Yorkshire, home to the stunning Piece Hall. Pubs highlighted include The Cross Keys, described as a \u201cdelightful local\u201d, as well as the Big Six Inn, praised for its magnificent traditional layout, and The Three Pigeons, regarded as one of England\u2019s finest Art Deco pubs.<\/p>\n

Next on the list is Huddersfield, located along the Transpennine Ale Trail. Notable mentions include The Station pub, The Head of Steam, along with The Grove and The Sportsman, which is set within a Grade II-listed interior \u2014 a harmonious combination of 1930s and 1950s design. The cherry on the cake is The Sair Inn, an atmospheric gem set in Huddersfield\u2019s rural hinterland.<\/p>\n
