Michael Olise remains the dream signing for Liverpool<\/a> in their efforts to replace Mohamed Salah although any deal is highly unlikely, sources have told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This comes after the 24-year-old\u2019s performance against Real Madrid in the Champions League which has made headlines for days following Bayern Munich\u2019s 2-1 win.<\/p>\n

The likes of Thierry Henry and Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher waxed lyrical about his display, and the Reds remain extremely keen to explore a move.<\/p>\n

However, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider\u2019s Transfer Insider podcast<\/a><\/strong>, Bayern Munich have no intention of losing Olise and will rebuff any advances.<\/p>\n

Liverpool\u2019s transfer plans will be dealt a blow<\/a> by Bayern\u2019s stance, which could force them to look elsewhere in search of a replacement for Salah.<\/p>\n

Having established himself as a key part of Vincent Kompany\u2019s plans for the future, Liverpool will be blocked in their pursuit, with no chance of a deal.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast<\/strong>, I explained: \u201cObviously, he would be the dream signing to replace Mohamed Salah when he leaves at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s somebody they are still keen on because of the quality he has at his disposal.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s near impossible that Liverpool could lure Michael Olise away from Bayern Munich. He\u2019s under contract until 2029 and playing some outstanding football.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a world-class performance against Real Madrid in midweek.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Liverpool, it\u2019s a bit of a pipe dream for them to sign Michael Olise due to Bayern\u2019s unwillingness to sell him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Olise is seen as the dream replacement for Salah, but with Liverpool increasingly likely to miss out, they have switched their focus towards other targets.<\/p>\n

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told\u00a0Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0in February that\u00a0Anthony Gordon is a target for Liverpool<\/a>\u00a0as they aim to strengthen out wide.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the winger and could finally make a move to bring him to Anfield after keeping a close eye on his progress.<\/p>\n
