Michael Owen retains faith in Arsenal<\/a>\u2019s ability to get over the line and win the Premier League<\/a> title despite Manchester City<\/a> gaining ground and momentum.<\/p>\n Pep Guardiola<\/a>\u2019s side laid down a significant marker at Stamford Bridge on Sunday after they turned on the style in the second half and powered to a 3-0 win that has reduced the gap at the top of the table to six points. <\/p>\n Next weekend\u2019s summit meeting at the Etihad will provided City with a chance to eat further into the Gunners\u2019 lead which could be wiped out should they win their game in-hand. <\/p>\n Arsenal\u2019s form, meanwhile, has been deteriorating ever since their Carabao Cup<\/a> final defeat at Wembley<\/a> last month and culminated in Saturday\u2019s abject display against Bournemouth<\/a> in front of a disbelieving home crowd.<\/p>\n Owen, however, has backed Mikel Arteta<\/a>\u2019s stuttering squad to produce a response at the Etihad Stadium next week and fnally end their 22-year wait to be crowned champions of England. <\/p>\n He said: \u2018I think Manchester City have got the slightly more difficult games. They\u2019ve got Bournemout away, they\u2019ve got Everton away. <\/p>\n \t\t \u2018They are two tough games. However, when you look at this weekend we thought Arsenal at home to Bournemouth and City away at Chelsea. <\/p>\n \u2018Everything is pointing to City, the momentum, the record of Pep Guardiola, the experience of the players, the current form, City at home against Arsenal. <\/p>\n \u2018It\u2019s the toss of the coin but I think Arsenal might just nick it.\u2019<\/p>\n Owen has defended Arsenal against the accusation of being serial bottlers having finished second three years in a row but he feels they will have no hiding place if they complete and unwanted quadruple.<\/p>\n \t\t He added: \u2018I must say I\u2019ve been defending Arsenal to lots of people who always say they always bottle. Do they? <\/p>\n \u2018I can remember when Manchester City when they won the Premier League for the first time a long time ago they would be coming third and second and getting closer and closer. <\/p>\n \u2018Liverpool came second a few times. You need to sort of build into winning the league. <\/p>\n \u2018It\u2019s only Leicester who have come out of nowhere.
