{"id":89215,"date":"2025-05-10T04:57:10","date_gmt":"2025-05-10T04:57:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/89215\/"},"modified":"2025-05-10T04:57:10","modified_gmt":"2025-05-10T04:57:10","slug":"bristols-best-and-worst-secondary-schools-for-pupil-progression","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/89215\/","title":{"rendered":"Bristol\u2019s best and worst secondary schools for pupil progression"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to government data<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/0_JS155913114.jpg\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Bristol Cathedral Choir School<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The best and worst secondary schools for pupil progression in Bristol have been revealed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Data from the UK government shows the city currently has five <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/education\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">secondary schools<\/a> being rated as &#8220;well above average&#8221; for its Progress 8 scores.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">These are Bristol Cathedral Choir School, Bristol Metropolitan Academy, Redland Green School, Trinity Academy and Montpelier High School.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">At the other end of the spectrum, Bristol has eight secondary schools rated as &#8220;well below average&#8221; for its Progress 8 scores.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The UK government website describes Progress 8 scores as the academic progress that pupils make from the end of key stage 2 to the end of key stage 4.
