A fifth person has been arrested in connection with the death of a man, which is being investigated as a ‘murder’ with three including a man from Birmingham and womand an boy charged with the offence<\/p>\n

A woman from Solihull is the fifth person to be arrested in connection with eh death of a man in Warwickshire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Ambulance Service<\/a> and Warwickshire Police officers attended Chestnut Avenue in Kenilworth just before midnight on Friday, March 20 after reports of concern for a man\u2019s welfare.<\/p>\n

Paramedics attended the scene but sadly nothing could be done to save Carl Stephens, 45.<\/p>\n

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambalance Service said: \u201cWe were called to an incident on Chestnut Avenue in Kenilworth at 11.39pm on Friday, March 10 and sent three ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support.<\/p>\n

\u201cSadly, despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save him, and he was confirmed dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cA second man was found in a serious condition and treated before being conveyed under emergency driving conditions to hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

Warwickshire Police launched a murder investigation and have arrested and charged a man from Birmingham<\/a> and a woman and boy from Kenilworth with murder.<\/p>\n

Lewis Dowling, 24, of Yarnfield Road, in Acocks Green<\/a>, Patricia Dowling, 49, of Chestnut Avenue, Kenilworth and a 16-year-old boy from Kenilworth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were all charged with murder.<\/p>\n

A 72-year-old woman previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed pending further enquiries.<\/p>\n

And now a 51-year-old woman from Solihull<\/a> arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice has been bailed until June.<\/p>\n

The three charged with murder are set to appear at Warwick Crown Court on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.<\/p>\n

Carl\u2019s family have previously paid tribute to him and said: \u201cWe are deeply saddened to be writing that Carl\u2019s life has been taken in the most tragic way.<\/p>\n
