Donald Trump ordered McDonald\u2019s to the White House shortly before giving an update on the fragile Iran ceasefire.<\/p>\n
The US president, who is a fast food fan, was seen with his hands full of takeaway bags emblazoned with the unmistakable golden arches, just outside of the Oval Office.<\/p>\n
Mr Trump was not scheduled to make any press appearances today, but held a short question-and-answer session with journalists on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n
\u201cNice to meet you,\u201d the president said to delivery person Sharon Simmons, who was wearing a T-shirt that read: \u201cDoorDash Grandma\u201d.<\/p>\n
DoorDash is a popular takeaway app in the US. Mrs Simmons was then included in the impromptu press event.<\/p>\n
Mr Trump asked her about the tax savings she said she had made as a result of last year\u2019s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, that also included specific reductions on tips for service workers including delivery drivers.<\/p>\n
