Beeston Festival is back on Saturday 27 June\u00a02026 and they have put out their annual call for volunteers to help make the day happen.<\/p>\n

The festival is a free, family\u2011friendly celebration in Cross Flatts Park, bringing together music, food, market stalls, sports, and activities for all ages. The live event runs from 12-5pm, costs over \u00a330,000 to produce and relies on over 500 voluntary hours to assist with set-up, festival operations and pack-down.<\/p>\n

This is where you come in.<\/p>\n

Angela Gabriel, Chair of Beeston Festival said:<\/p>\n

\u201cOur voluntary\u00a0organising committee have been in planning for several months already to bring this day to life. If you can spare a few hours on the day, we\u2019d love to have you on the team. Many hands make light work has never been more true \u2013 the more people who sign up, the shorter the shifts become.<\/strong> Bring a friend or colleague to half your workload and double the fun!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Suggested Volunteer Shifts | <\/strong>Choose whichever suits you best or let us know your availability.<\/p>\n

8:30am-2:30pm | Set\u2011Up Crew\u00a0<\/strong>
Build market stalls, lay flags & barriers, traffic steward, deliver tables & chairs, set up stages and help with event stewarding. You\u2019re welcome to start as early as you can make it!<\/p>\n

12-5pm | Social media\u00a0<\/b>
We need volunteers to create content, like and share tagged posts and capture engagement.<\/p>\n

2-8pm | Event & Pack\u2011Down Crew\u00a0<\/strong>
Stewarding, helping on food stalls, stage support, and dismantling, lifting and carrying to close the site. Once we\u2019re done, we\u2019re done!<\/p>\n

No experience needed \u2014 just enthusiasm and a willingness to help your community. If you can only help out for specific times or a few hours, just let us know your availability.<\/p>\n
