{"id":894914,"date":"2026-04-15T04:27:24","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T04:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/894914\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T04:27:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T04:27:24","slug":"ec-english-language-centres-closes-bristol-and-montreal-sites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/894914\/","title":{"rendered":"EC English Language Centres closes Bristol and Montreal sites"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ecenglish.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">EC English Language Centres<\/a>, which now has locations across the UK, Canada, the US, South Africa, Ireland and Dubai after opening its first school in Malta in 1991, is set to close EC Bristol at the end of June and EC Montreal at the end of September.<\/p>\n<p>However, it stressed it would keep a \u201cstrong presence\u201d in both countries, with four centres in the UK and two in Canada to offer continued access across both markets. <\/p>\n<p>EC said the move followed a \u201cthorough strategic review of EC\u2019s global operations\u201d, reflecting a psh towards long-term sustainability and shoring up its wider network.  <\/p>\n<p>EC\u2019s executive chairman and CEO Andrew Mangion said the decision to close the centres had been \u201ca very difficult\u201d one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEC Bristol and EC Montreal are home to incredible teams who have shown dedication, care, and professionalism every single day. We are deeply grateful for everything they have contributed to our students and to the EC story,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>By focusing our investment on fewer locations, we are positioning EC to deliver even greater quality and impact in the years ahead<br \/><strong>Andrew Mangion, EC English Language Centres<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAt the same time, we have a responsibility to ensure the long-term strength of our organisation. By focusing our investment on fewer locations, we are positioning EC to deliver even greater quality and impact in the years ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>EC said it was \u201cfully committed\u201d to its remaining schools, as well as its online platform, EC Live. And it said it was seeing \u201cstrong momentum\u201d across its Embassy Summer and Global Achievers Academy offerings.<\/p>\n<p>New summer programs are launching in Spain and China this year, it added.
