An inquest has been opened into the death of Eliza Hannah Chaudhry, who was found immersed in water at Porthkerry Beach in Barry\"Porthkerry<\/p>\n

A young woman was confirmed to have died after being found in the water at a Welsh beach, an inquest heard. Eliza Hannah Chaudhry, who was 21, was discovered immersed in water at Porthkerry Beach in Barry<\/a> last Wednesday, April 8.<\/p>\n

An inquest into her death, opened at Pontypridd<\/a> Coroner’s Court on Wednesday morning, April 15, heard how Miss Chaudhry’s body was identified by her auntie the day following her death and taken to the University Hospital of Wales<\/a> in Cardiff<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A post mortem was carried out and a pathologist provided a provisional cause of death as “1A: immersion in water.” Don\u2019t miss a court report by signing up to our crime newsletter here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The hearing was told that Miss Chaudhry lived in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, having been born in Watford.<\/p>\n

The senior coroner for South Wales Central, Graeme Hughes, offered his condolences to Miss Chaudhry’s family before adjourning the inquest to a date to be fixed.<\/p>\n
