The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were surrounded by media during the Scar Tree Walk in Melbourne on their Australia tour when Channel 7’s Paul Dowsley attempted to snap a selfie\"The<\/p>\n

As the Duke and Duchess took part in the most public element of their Australia<\/a> tour so far, the Scar Tree Walk in Melbourne, scenes descended into mayhem as Harry was forced to intervene to shield the pair from journalists.<\/p>\n

The Aboriginal walk takes just over half an hour and follows the Yarra river, a well-known spot for walkers<\/a> and joggers alike.<\/p>\n

During their stroll, the couple<\/a> were approached by numerous admirers with crowds forming around them<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They were also hemmed in by a pack of local press photographers and video journalists, while a helicopter circled overhead.<\/p>\n

Five police officers turned up as increasing numbers of media surrounded the couple on the bright Melbourne morning.<\/p>\n

One journalist in particular seemed to spark a commotion, with Harry guiding him away.<\/p>\n

Paul Dowsley, a Channel 7 reporter, has been drawing the attention of the couple’s team as he keeps appearing in and out of camera shots during PA Media’s coverage of the visit.<\/p>\n

The Sussexes’ communications director Liam Maguire had previously been spotted having several cordial exchanges with Dowsley.<\/p>\n

Yet, following his bid to take a selfie with the Duke and Duchess on Thursday morning, Harry seemed to gently move him out of Meghan’s path.<\/p>\n

Dowsley told the Mail: “I suppose it’s a break in protocol to ask for a selfie with a royal, but he told me that I’m always so well-dressed.”<\/p>\n

The producer has attended all of the Sussexes’ engagements and on Thursday morning wore a beige suit and floral tie. He added that all his interactions with Harry have been ‘good-humoured’, with the Duke even complimenting his choice of tie.<\/p>\n
